Yin & Yang Approach ( Mind, Body, and Spirit Balance )

After embarking on my own personal journey towards healing (YIN), I quickly realized I wanted to learn as much as I can, so that I may bring all the information learned to others in a way they may receive. I started out with Massage Therapy on the healing island of Oahu. The land as well as the teachings sparked a fire in me to continue my path forward into Structural Integration (Structural Integration-SI). Rolfing® SI introduced order and integration of all the moving parts in the body, as well as reintroducing me to "the line". Growing up in the performing arts world and dance, the line was something that was honed in on in the dance studio in order to keep balance, an ordering principle.

With a kinesthetic mind-set, personal training would be the next step in the journey. After attending an over 600 hour hands on personal training school, I realized just how important movement is not only to activate healthily (YANG), but also in recovery. Often times we are told to workout, get fit, and continue pushing ourselves to the brink of injury. There is a balance when it comes to movement in the body. There is a time for training, as well as a time for recovery.Training clients have reported up to 60% Chronic Pain reduction, improved range of motion, improved posture, better balance and coordination, increased self-confidence, and increased overall energy and well-being.

Energy (CHI) is a guiding principle of all movement. Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy (YIN) is a form of bodywork developed from the work of William Garner Sutherland, a doctor of Osteopathy. Dr. Sutherland's research led him to the discovery of extremely subtle movements in the way each of the 14 cranial bones relate to one another, as well as a subtle rhythm that is found present throughout the entire body - a repeated cycle of widening-filling-rising, followed by emptying-narrowing-descending. In this modality we explore the quality of this tidal movement of the cranial sacral fluid that travels back and forth from the sacrum to the base of the skull, and how it directly correlates to your body's ability to send "health" wherever is needed.

Each of these perspectives are a guiding principle in which we will acheive your goals. Being able to address the physical body manually, through movement, as well as an energetic approach truly allows for an in-depth and holistic approach. I ensure to create a positive, motivating, transformative, interactive, and fun approach to all styles offered.
